Hey there, my name is Jay Hynes.
I have been a commercial photographer for over a decade, shooting ad campaigns for brands like Mercedes Benz Vans, 13Cabs, and Deakin University, as well as organisations like the National Trust of Australia, the Department of Education,
and the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation. Prior to photography, I was
a senior art director at some of Melbourne’s leading ad agencies, and from 2010
to 2012 I co-headed Melbourne’s prestigious AWARD School.
This background gives me a unique focus on bringing concepts to life and capturing images that suit a variety of channels.
I am a two-time National Photographic Portrait Prize finalist, and my personal work has been featured in the Huffington Post, Frankie magazine, and two solo photography exhibitions. I have a passion for portraiture and love capturing faces that tell a story.
